V&A Lane Cabernet Shiraz

Wynns Coonawarra Estate V&A Lane Cabernet Shiraz honours the Claret style wines of the 1950s and 1960s. Part of Wynns history, the marriage of Shiraz and Cabernet goes back to the winery's earliest blends.

The fruit draws from vineyards along Coonawarra's V&A Lane. This long, straight road divides the regions' famous terra rossa strip at its midpoint.

This wine is typically 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Shiraz. The varieties are co-fermented to create a rich, silky style of wine. Extended maceration on skins builds complexity.

After pressing, the wine matures in new and seasoned French oak barrels for 16 months before bottling.

Deep crimson, Wynns Coonawarra Estate V&A Lane Cabernet Shiraz has brambly fruits, velvety tannins and crisp acidity with a long, smoky finish. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
